Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Review

Updated on September 2, 2013

Anti-Aging at it's best?

My review on the cult product with the cult following. It seems that everyone has tried this serum that is Estee Lauder's top seller.

I finally took the plunge and invested in this product and now I'm coming to the end of the bottle I thought it was about time for me to to a review.

The following description is given for the product

“This comprehensive, high-performance anti-ageing serum inspired by groundbreaking DNA research brings your skin a dramatic reduction in the appearance of visible signs of ageing. Use it every day to help repair the appearance of past damage, help prevent future damage and deliver high levels of hydration. If you want younger, healthier-looking skin now and in the future, don`t go a night without it”

Read on to find out whether Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair lives up to it's claim.

My Skin Type

Why did I choose Advanced Nigh Repair?

When I first tried the Advanced Night Repair, my skin was prone to breakouts, oily and had many enlarged pores. The texture was bumpy and even.

My skin is also very sensitive so I have to be extra careful of the products that I use. Otherwise my skin will breakout and go strawberry red!

I read some reviews that claimed the Advanced Night Repair had helped clear and improve the texture of users skin which was exactly what I wanted. I was really hoping that the Estee Lauder Advanced Nigh Repair would moisterise without making my skin oily. Refine and clear the skin and fight first signs of aging.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Review

The Secret to Younger Skin?

This is one of those products that you see everywhere and anywhere and it has always been on my beauty bucket list. I heard so many good things about this product that I really wanted to try it.

The promise of clearer more even skin, with anti-aging benefits thrown suckered me in!!

When I first tried the Advanced Night Repair, my skin was prone to breakouts, oily and had many enlarged pores. I read some reviews that claimed the Advanced Night Repair had helped clear and improve the texture of users skin which was exactly what I wanted.

On first impressions the product feels very light and watery, and not as thick and concentrated as other serums I had tried. It has a pleasant light smell and the packaging is pretty practical.

The instructions state to use a full pump and apply the product onto the skin. When I first did this it felt like to much product and that I could have used half of the amount. I have to admit due to the high price of the Advanced Night Repair I ignored the instructions and used only half a pump believing this to be enough.

The first morning after using this for the first time my skin felt very fresh, clean, balanced and non-irritated, so far so good. However after continued use I was disappointed with the lack of dramatic difference I was expecting and didn't think the price was worth it.

After I was 'over' this product I started to use the whole pump as specified because I wasn't worried about the price as I was certain I wouldn't repurchase. When using the instructed amount of product I was very impressed with the results. My skin was overall clearer, brighter, hydrated and felt comfortable. It made by skin look pretty and glowy and I was happy with the results. The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair definitely improved my skin especially the tone, texture and clarity.

As for the anti-aging benefits I can't really comment on the effectiveness as my skin has not many visible signs of aging (yet). However as the texture is light and gentle I cannot imagine it working that effectively.

If you have the budget for this product I would definitely recommend a purchase. I would suggest using on dry skin after cleaning before you use other serums and moisterisers. It would provide a nice base for other products and holds moisture really well.

The best point of this product is that it really does improve the quality of your skin, although if you are purchasing be ready to have to use the full pump of product as any less won't be effective enough. This product is specifically designed for night time use and I haven't used the day version, but the night version even worked as a nice primer for me. It leaves the skin smooth and dewy without any oiliness the perfect base for makeup.

If the price is putting you off trying this porduct you can look for a small sample size on amazon or ebay and then if you don't like it haven't spent the full amount :)

I hope this review was helpful. Have you used the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair or the day version? If so leave a comment below and tell me what you think.

I really want to try the pore perfector serum have any of you tried it?

Update 14/05/2013

Long term results

I have used Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair for some time now (6 months) and am still really impressed with the results.

The most significant result is a massive improvement in my skin texture, my skin is more smooth and refined :)

My skin is also more hydrated without being greasy and oily. Although I do not have wrinkles yet I have seen a difference in my frown marks.

Love this such a staple wonderful product.

Are expensive anti-aging products better

Doe you think expensive anti-aging products work better then cheaper alternatives
